Mission Statement

Excel Academy will offer a unique single-sex educational model for girls in the District of Columbia. The curriculum will focus on building student achievement in literacy, mathematics, science, technology, world languages, and performing and visual arts while strengthening the scholars’ self-esteem which empowers them to make positive ethical choices. The school will provide many opportunities to develop young ladies academically, socially, and emotionally to prepare them to be productive competitors in the 21st century.
